I designed a slogan and images for American friends protesting in Feb 2025. They were designed both as motion graphics for social media and as print-ready protest signs and used again in the NO KINGS protests June, 2025.
A putsch is a secretly plotted and suddenly executed attempt to overthrow a government and the Three Arrows are the symbol of the Iron Front, who were a large part of the social democratic resistance against Nazism in 1932. According to its designer, Chakhotin, the inspiration for the Three Arrows was a swastika that had been crossed over with chalk in Heidelberg.
Given that we are in an era where history is repeating, it seems appropriate to bring this iconography back into common usage.
